A 3-member advisory board has been appointed to overlook the judicial process of those in jail or under detention orders for their involvement in terrorist activities.
The President’s Media Division (PMD) said the advisory board, which has been appointed under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA), will be headed by former Chief Justice Ashoka de Silva.
The board has been tasked with analyzing and recommending to the President the release or granting of bail of those in jail or under detention orders for their involvement in terrorist activities. (NewsWire)
