Sri Lanka has held discussions with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the possibility of obtaining crude oil and petroleum products.
Minister of Energy Udaya Gammanpila said he had held discussions in this regard with the Acting Head of the Embassy of the UAE in Sri Lanka Saif Alanofy on Monday (23).
He further said the discussion focused on the possibility of obtaining crude oil and petroleum products for Sri Lanka on a long-term credit facility.
Minister Gammanpila added that this approach has been taken as a solution to the present foreign exchange crisis in Sri Lanka. (NewsWire)
