CPC Union Leader Ananda Palitha arrested – UNP

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) Jathika Sevaka Sangamaya (JSS) union leader Ananda Palitha has been arrested by the CID according to UNP General-Secretary Palitha Range Bandara.

UNP General-Secretary says that the union leader has been arrested after he recently spoke about the availability of fuel stocks and renovation cost of subject minister’s official house.

Ananda Palitha said at a media briefing yesterday that the fuel in storage is only enough for 11 days.

The CPC said that legal action would be taken against him for misleading the public by claiming that there was a fuel shortage in the country. (NewsWire)
