Another 15 cities have suspended business operations due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus, Lankadeepa reported.
Business operations have been suspended in the areas under the Trincomalee Urban and Municipal Council, Kegalle, Chilaw, Ampara, Wennappuwa, Kekirawa,Monaragala, Divulapitiya, Deraniyagala, Orrgasmanghandiya, Wadduwa, Banduragoda, Rikillagaskada, and Alawaa and the Kodikamam area in Jaffna.
Earlier, the Gampaha, Ambalantota, Ambalangoda, Maradagahamula, Veyangoda, Dankotuwa, Serunuwara, Palapathwala, Ulpatha, Tangalle, Badulla, Balangoda, Walapane, Bandarawela, Embilipitiya, and Matale areas had suspended business operations,
Stores have been closed in some areas for one week, while in some for two weeks, and others until further notice.
