The Wakfs Board of Sri Lanka has decided to suspend all congressional prayers held at Mosques in Sri Lanka, the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs announced today.
The Department said all religious activities, including five-time Jamath prayers, Jummah, Janaza Prayers, Quraan, Nikah Majlis, and all other congregational activities have also been suspended.
The congressional prayers and activities held at Mosques have been suspended until further notice, it said.
The Decision has been taken due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus in the country at present. (NewsWire)
