The first-ever airport hotel at the Bandaranaike International Airport has been announced to be operational by December next year.
Promoted by Colombo International Airport Hotels Ltd., the 185-room four star venture is poised to expand into a mega value addition to the expanding capacity of the BIA.
“We are especially pleased with the timing of this project. This will not only add value to the BIA but also offer a unique option for the Free Trade Zone visitors as well as transit, crew and business travellers. We are most delighted to partner with Airport and Aviation Services Sri Lanka Ltd. to build this on their own land. We are happy about the confidence placed in us by the people of Japan investing in the project and our well-wishers in Sri Lanka for their active support to make it a success,” CIAH Chairman Dr. Ruwan Perera said according to the Daily FT Newspaper.
