Wasantha Kumara Mudalige, the convenor of the Inter-University Student’s Federation has been arrested by the Police last night.
Police also arrested the Chairman of the Sri Jayewardenepura University Students’ Federation Amila Sandeepa.
Police said the two student leaders were arrested over the scuffle that broke out during the protest on August 3 near Parliament.
