Former Parliamentarian and Sri Lankan actress Upeksha Swarnamali has been arrested by the Katugastota Police over a road accident.
The actress is reported to have collided with a motorcycle close to the District Secretariat Office in Nugawela, Katugastota while she was enroute from Kandy to Kurunegala.
The 18-year-old rider of the motorcycle who had sustained injuries in the accident has been admitted to the Peradeniya Hospital.
Police said that the suspect will be produced before the court today. (NewsWire)
