SLPP national list MP Jayantha Ketagoda has handed over the resignation letter from the MP Post to the Secretary General of Parliament.
According to SLPP General Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam, Jayantha Ketagoda has resigned to pave the way for former Minister Basil Rajapaksa to enter Parliament through the national list.

Lankadeepa newspaper reported that the MP who was willing to resign for Basil Rajapaksa will be sent as SL’s High Commissioner to Australia (NewsWire)
