Consumer Rights Activist Asela Sampath has been arrested by CID, Police said.
Earlier family of the Asela Sampath said that he was taken by a group of some 20 unidentified persons claiming they are from the CID in a Van around 8.30pm today.
His daughter said that Asela Sampath was assaulted by the group who came to the house and took him away.
