Minister of Industries Wimal Weerawansa has represented Sri Lanka in the 24th St. Petersburg International Economic Conference (SPIEF ‘ 21) which began on 02nd June.
A Sri Lankan delegation headed by Minister Weerawansa currently participating in the conference in Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, the chiefs of International Economic Organizations in Russia and the CEOs of state and private firms of other countries also participated in the Conference which was held by high level diplomats from around 120 countries.
Minister Wimal Weerawansa said the ‘St Petersburg International Economic Conference’ has become a leading global economic platform that creates an opportunity for diplomats to discuss key points of the global economic agenda and to propose effective solutions through global cooperation. (NewsWire)
