State Minister Nalaka Godahewa says that Sri Lanka was not informed by anyone about any fire aboard MV X-Press Pearl vessel.
Minister was responding to media reports which claimed the MV X-Press Pearl was refused to enter the ports in India and Qatar.
Minister said that matter needs to be investigated.
He also said that Sri Lanka is already working on the legalities on securing an insurance claim over the incident.
