The Government is considering making amendments to the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Bill, in order to provide 75% of the employment opportunity to Sri Lankans, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa told Parliament today.
He made the remark during the debate on the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Bill which was taken up in Parliament today.
The Prime Minister further said that the amendment will be relaxed if there are no Sri Lankans for a specific skilled job.
He added that the Government is undertaking measures to obtain at least a minimum of US$ 15 Billion in investments via the Colombo Port City Project in the first five years. (NewsWire)
