Former Western Province Governor Azath Salley has been hospitalised due to a sudden heart attack.
The former Governor is reported to have suffered a sudden heart attack while in the custody of the Criminal Investigations Department.
He has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment.
Azath Salley has been detained by the Criminal Investigations Department after being arrested in connection to the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks.
The Criminal Investigations Department has detained Salley since March to be interrogated under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA). (NewsWire)
