Sri Lanka’s Covid death toll passed 1,000 mark today with 34 more Covid deaths reported.
Total Covid deaths have now increased to 1,015.
The latest victims included a 20-year-old young man and two women aged 32 and 38.
“The deceased is a 20 year-old male resident in Rathnapura. He died on 17.05.2021 while
undergoing treatments in Base Hospital Homagama. The cause of death is mentioned as
Severe Covid pneumonia.” Health Ministry said.
