A flood warning has been issued by the Irrigation Department due to the prevalent heavy rains in Sri Lanka.
Issuing a statement, the Department said the water level in the Nilwala, Gin, and Kalu rivers are rapidly rising at present.
Flood warnings have been issued to residents of the Bulathsinhala, Palinda Nuwara, Millaniya, Horana, Dhodangoda, and areas under the Kalutara Pradeshiya Sabha Divisional Secretariat.
People in low-lying areas surrounding the rivers have been requested to remain vigilant of floods. (NewsWire)
