The police have commenced an inquiry on a YouTube channel over publishing fake news claiming an islandwide curfew will be imposed from today 12 midnight till May 17.
Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said that the Criminal Investigations Department has initiated investigation into the false contents of the news items which has been shared widely in social media.
” There is no truth about island wide curfew, We will take stern action against these perpetrators who creat panic among general public” DIG Ajith Rohana said. (NewsWire)
