The driver of the late former State Minister Sanath Nishantha, who was killed in a motor accident in January, has been granted bail.
The Welisara Magistrate’s Court released the driver on a surety of Rs. 500,000 today.
Former State Minister Sanath Nishantha and his security officer were killed in an accident on the Colombo – Katunayake Expressway on January 25, 2024.
The driver of the vehicle, who survived the accident, was later arrested and remanded. (NewsWire)
