The Natural Hazards Early Warning Centre has issued a heat index advisory for Mullaitivu, Vauniya, Trincomalee, Polonnaruwa, Batticaloa, Ampara and Monaragala districts.
The advisory says that the temperature felt on human body is expected to increase up to ‘Extreme Caution’ level at these districts.
