Sri Lanka beat West Indies ending an eight match T20I losing streak

 

Sri Lanka beat West Indies by 43 runs in the 2nd T20 international on Saturday to level the T20I series 1-1.

The win ended an eight match losing streak in T20I for Sri Lanka.

The visitors restricted the West Indies to 117  while chasing a target of 161

Champion spinner Wanindu Hasaranga bowled a match winning spell picking 3-17 in his 4 overs. He was well supported by other spinners Akila Dhananjaya and Lakshan Sandakan.

Fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera also bowled a top spell with picking 2-25.

Batting first Sri Lanka posted 160/6 in 20 overs after being 94/0 in 10 overs.

Danushka Gunathilake top scored with 56 runs while youngster Pathum Nissanka impressed with 37 runs in just 23 balls.
