A chocolate and biscuit manufacturing factory is to be set up on a 35-acre land in Homagama.
The factory is being established with a view to export chocolate and biscuit outside the country.
The chocolate and biscuit manufacturing plant will be set up on half the land of the 35- acre plot in the Munamale area in Kiriwathuduwa, Homagama.
According to Ada Derana, preliminary measures to establish the manufacturing plant are currently underway.
The factory is being launched as a new business venture of prominent Sri Lankan businessman Dhammika Perera.
Sri Lanka reports an annual demand of 12,000 tonnes of biscuit and 1,400 tonnes of chocolate. (NewsWire)
