The Police have sought public assistance to arrest the suspect involved in abandoning a travelling bag with an unidentified body on Dam Street in Colombo yesterday.
CCTV footage shows the suspect walking on Dam Street with the travelling bag and the manner in which he abandoned the bag in the area.
Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police (SDIG) in charge of the Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon said investigations have revealed that the man had travelled from Hanwella to Colombo, Fort via bus.
He said investigations are underway to arrest the suspect, and to determine the identity of the woman killed by him.
