Over 500,000 individuals have received the Oxford AstraZeneca Covishield vaccine in Sri Lanka.
A total of 42,925 individuals vaccinated on Monday with the COVID-19 vaccine raising the total vaccinated so far to 509,275.
The National Operations Centre for the Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak has issued details on those who have received the vaccine to date.
According to the Centre, the following groups have been administered the COVID-19 vaccine.
• 176,808 health staff and doctors
• 205,240 general public
• 46,173 Army officers
• 10,435 Navy officers
• 9,375 Policemen
• 7,447 Air Force officers
• 205 Diplomats
• 123 Parliamentarians
