A protest was staged today by members of Muslim organizations against the forced cremation of the remains of Covid victims in Sri Lanka.
The protest march commenced from the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.
The protesters called on the Government and President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to respect and uphold the Muslim community’s fundamental rights.
It was staged at a time when Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Sri Lanka today on a 2-day official State visit. (NewsWire)
