State Minister Wimalaweera Dissanayake has made some comments about now imprisoned MP Ranjan Ramanayake.
“Some people in this country say that he (Ranjan Ramanayke) is a bad man. As per my personal opinion, he is a very good person whom we can/should associate with. As per my knowledge, he has not done any harm to anyone. Unfortunately, he has said some things outside of the parliament. If he had said these in the parliament, nothing can be done as per law. Some of the things he said are half true and some are totally true.”
The State Minister of Wildlife Protection further went on to say that people in country who are used to cheer for the ones who lie, get angry when they see someone speaking the truth openly.
Mr. Dissanayake made these comments while speaking in a meeting organized in Padiyathalawa, Ampara.
