Five players including Kusal Mendis released from Sri Lanka squad

Kusal Mendis, Nuwan Pradeep, Minod Bhanuka, and Lahiru Kumara have been permitted to head home, alongside skipper Dimuth Karunaratne who has been ruled out for the second test due to an injury.

Two more Sri Lankan cricketers will reportedly be released from the squad on the first day of the second test, which gets underway in Galle on Friday (22).
