04 staff members of Sri Lanka Parliament have tested positive for Covid-19 following PCR tests carried out recently, Health Ministry said today.
463 PCR tests have been carried out at the Parliamentary complex, including the Speaker and 15 Parliamentarians few days ago.
Among them 4 parliament staff members have tested positive and have been sent to Covid treatment facilities, Health Director General told reporters.
Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dasanayake last week stated that the meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Business scheduled to be held on last 13th was rescheduled to be held next Monday (18).
This meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Business was scheduled to be held to decide on the Business of the House for the Parliamentary Week which is scheduled to commence on the 19th January.
So far 3 MPs have tested positive for Covid-19 in Sri Lanka. (NewsWire)
