The exchange rate of the US Dollar has seen a drop this week in comparison to last week, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) reported.
Data from the Bank has shown the buying rate and the selling rate of the US Dollar are at Rs. 185.20 and Rs. 190.02 today.
It further said last week, the US Dollar reported an increase in seven months with the buying rate at Rs. 189.08 and the selling rate at Rs. 194.66.
Meanwhile, the spot exchange of the US Dollar for today is Rs. 187.96 in comparison to Rs. 190.28 that was reported on Monday (28).
The Central Bank said necessary precautions were taken to contain the fluctuations that were reported in the foreign currency exchange rates over the last week. (NewsWire)
