UK Minister for South Asia and the Commonwealth at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office Tariq Ahamed has highlighted the impact of forced cremations of COVID-19 victims in Sri Lanka on Muslim & other faith communities.
He expressed these views during discussions held with High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the United Kingdom Saroja Sirisena.
The joint work on the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, also known as COP26, strengthening diaspora links and justice and accountability were also taken into consideration during the discussion.
