Airport : “From 26th no foreign ministry permission needed, 3500 passengers to be allowed”

The chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority, Upul Dharmadasa has stated that Sri Lankan citizens stranded around the world can return to the country without the prior approval from the ministry of foreign affairs starting the 26th of this month.

However, he also said that due to the requirement of all passengers arriving in the country must undergo a PCR test and the current capacity at airports is 3500 tests per day, it will have to limit the daily arrival of passengers.
