LPL : Afridi misses flight, likely to miss Galle Galdiators’ first game

Former Pakistan Captain Shahid Afridi is reported to have missed his flight to Sri Lanka scheduled for today.

The former Pakistan cricket legend is set to participate in the upcoming Lanka Premier League (LPL) Cricket Tournament, representing the Galle Gladiators.

“Missed my flight to Colombo today morning. Nothing to worry, I’ll be reaching soon to take part in the LPL for Galle Gladiators. Look forward to joining my teammates,” Afridi tweeted.

Shahid Afridi is likely to miss the first few games of the LPL as he is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow and will undergo the mandatory quarantine process.

As a result, Sri Lanka batsman Bhanuka Rajapaksa will lead the Galle Gladiators in the first game in Afridi’s absence. (NewsWire)
