The Fort Magistrate’s Court has rejected a request for a warrant to arrest MP Rishad Bathiudeen and two others.
The request was put forward by the Criminal Investigations Department.
The Court announced that it was not essential to obtain a warrant to arrest the three individuals.
Earlier Attorney General directed Acting IGP to obtain an arrest warrant from Court and Arrest MP Rishad Bathuideen on charges of Criminal Misappropriation of Public Funds and Violation of Election Laws.
