Good Market to expand its Saturday racecourse market to two days

The Good Market is a curated market platform that helps small scale entrepreneurs, rural artisans and craftsman, and organic farmers to develop their business to the next level.

The Good market was launched in 2012 with 32 small enterprises and today they work with more than 1200 enterprises around the country.

With the collaboration of One Galle Face, the Good Market is planning to expand its Saturday racecourse market to Fridays from 12 noon to 8pm from 4th September.

The Good market will organize two markets on every weekend on Friday and Saturday.

Farmers, producer groups, and social enterprises throughout Sri Lanka have developed products that are good for our health, our communities, and our environment, but they often find it difficult to market these products domestically.

At the same time, there are many educated consumers in Sri Lanka that don’t want to consume pesticides and preservatives. They look for healthy, natural foods and household products.

They want to “buy locally” and support rural communities.

The One Galle Face market features:

  • “Poison-free” fruits and vegetables
  • Artisanal food and snacks
  • Fair-trade crafts
  • Handmade original art
  • Natural health and beauty products
  • Non-toxic home and garden products
  • Live entertainment and more. (Newswire)
