Ratnapura High Court has imposed death sentences on former MP Premalal Jayasekera & two others for shooting to death a person in 2015 presidential election.
Premalal Jayasekara is contesting the current General elections under the SLPP from the Ratnapura District.
He was found guilty of shooting a UNP supporting crowd who were prepearing for a meeting of Maithreepala Sirisena during the time of the presidential ellections 2015, murdering a man and critically injuring 2 people.
The victim killed in the shooting incident was Dodangodage Susil Perera alias Shantha Dodangoda and the injured were K. Karunadasa Weerasinghe and M. Ilshan.
