Sri Lanka Cricket writes to India about July Cricket tour

Sri Lanka Cricket has written to their counterparts at Board of Control for Cricket in India requesting the possibility of resuming bilateral cricket later in July, Island Newspaper reported.

India are scheduled to tour Sri Lanka in mid July for a 6 match series (3 ODIs and 3 T-20 Internationals).

Sri Lanka have so far postponed England & South Africa home tours due to the Covid19 pandemic.

According to SLC sources SLC has indicated the willingness to play the series in late July as scheduled following strict quarantine rules and possibly behind closed doors considering the safety of fans.

Sri Lankan Cricketers have now started outdoor individual trainings after curfew was relaxed early this week.
