About 1200 persons in the ‘B’ block of “Meth Sanda Sevana” multi-storey housing scheme, Modara, were put on self quarantine following a Covid19 patient identified from the area.
Identified patient died earlier today, which was the 9th Covid19 death reported in Sri Lanka.
15 people including the family of the woman who died were sent to a quarantine center earlier today.
As of this morning, 4816 persons are still in quarantine in island-wide 39 centers run by Sri Lankan Military.
Woman who died earlier today admitted her to the Colombo National Hospital yesterday (04) due to fever and was transferred to the IDH Hospital this morning after testing positive for the Coronavirus.
Her funeral was scheduled to be conducted tonight.
Sri Lanka has identified 762 Covid Patients as of 10 PM (5th May), with 213 people recovered.
