31 persons infected with COVID-19 were detected in Sri Lanka yesterday.
21 persons among the infected were identified as Navy personnel.
6 of the infected patients were persons who had come into contact with the infected Navy Personnel
The remaining 4 persons have been identified as Army personnel.
“We are coming to an end of tracing Navy patients so we are expecting the number of patients to go down” Health DG Dr. Ani Jasinghe told media.
From the 21 Navy personnel, 15 of them were identified from the Welisara Navy Camp. Others were diagnosed from Madirigiriya, Agalawatta, Aranayake, Hamabarana & Polpithigama.
Army personnel infected are reportedly worked at Quarantine Center. Local TV Swarnavahini reported that 3 of them were from Punani Quarantine Center.
