Election Commission Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya says that Police will be made aware from 27th April by the Election Commission as to the details of Candidates who are contesting in the upcoming Parliamentary Election, in order for them to obtain necessary Curfew Passes.
In reply to a letter posted by UNP Colombo District Candidate Oshala Herath, who had requested for curfew passes in order to carry his Election related legal work, the EC Chief stated so.
7,452 candidates are contesting the upcoming Parliamentary Election which is scheduled to be held on the 20th of June.
