Former Sri Lankan Cricketer and popular Cricket Commentator Russel Arnold took part in a 435 kms long cycle ride from Colombo to Jaffna, which spanned for four days from the 26th -29th February 2020.
The ride started in the capital Colombo on the south western edge of Sri Lanka and finished in Manipay in Jaffna in the Northern province.
This ride was organised to raise funds to re-instate ‘Green Memorial Hospital’ in Manipay, Jaffna.
More than 40 riders took part in this cycle ride alongside Russel Arnold, which also included many foreign riders.
Ride4Ceylon began in 2017 as Riders for Charity, a sponsored charity cycle ride through Sri Lanka.
In 2019, this charity raised a whopping £65,000 from a fundraising target of £25,000.
