Sri Lanka is likely to be part of Group B in the 50-overs World Cup Qualifiers taking place in Zimbabwe next month.
Dasun Shanaka’s side has reportedly been drawn in Group B alongside Ireland, Scotland, Oman, and the UAE.
Sri Lanka has been seeded second, with the West Indies (1), for the tournament, as both teams ended 9th and 10th in the ICC Super League.
Group B will be based in Bulawayo, while the Group A sides will be in Harare, according to ICC sources.
The Group A sides are West Indies, hosts Zimbabwe, Netherlands, Nepal, and the USA.
The ICC is yet to officially confirm the groups and fixtures for the tournament.
The tournament runs from June 18 to July 9, and the two remaining qualification slots will be determined.
The top three teams in Group A and B will play in a super six round, from which the top two teams will qualify for the World Cup. (NewsWire)
