Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has made a request to Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) to consider not to impose power cuts during GCE Advanced Level Examinations.
Issuing a press release, its chairman Janaka Rathnayake said that Commissioner General of Examinations had requests from PUCSL to consider not to impose power cuts during A/L period as its inconveniencing the candidates.
However he says that a request made to the CEB with regard to this has been denied. He further says that it’s a responsibility of everyone to make sure children sitting for the A/L exams do not face any hindrance.
He went on to request the general public too to use electricity sparingly in the nighttime to reduce demand during the A/L examination period (NewsWire)
