Lankadeepa Newspaper reports that veteran actor Bandu Samarasinghe has been appointed as Sri Lanka’s Consular General in Milan, Italy.
Sri Lanka’s Consulate General position in Milan got vacant after musician Neela Wickremasinghe passed away earlier this year while serving in the position.
Bandu Samarasinghe supported President Gotabaya Rajapaksa in the last presidential election. So far no official announcement has been made over the new appointment.
