Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi has extended his gratitude to former Sri Lanka cricketer Dhammika Prasad for offering to tour the country.
Dhammika Prasad had said retired Sri Lankan players are ready to come and play some exhibition matches in Pakistan.
“Still I can remember when we had tough time during the war you guys @BCCI & @TheRealPCB came for us to save our @OfficialSLC,” he pointed out.
Responding to Prasad, former Pakistan skipper Afridi thanked the former Sri Lankan cricketer for his kind words.
“Pakistan has always gone out of its way to support cricket and other sporting teams from around the world, we are a big-hearted nation indeed!” Afridi tweeted.
Dhammika Prasad’s offer comes at a time when several cricket series’ were called off over security concerns in Pakistan.
Sri Lanka Cricket too had recently said it was open to touring Pakistan, depending on the availability of the national team. (NewsWire)
