Agriculture secretary removed, new appointment made

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has appointed two new ministry secretaries changing secretaries of Agriculture & Media.

New appointments 

• Mr. D.M.L.D. Bandaranayake has been appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture with immediate effect.

• Mr. Anusha Palpita has been appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Mass Media with effect from January 01, 2022.

Senior Prof. Udith K. Jayasinghe previously served as the Agriculture Secretary.

Current Media Ministry secretary Jagath Wijeweera is retiring from state sector at the end of this year. (NewsWire)
