Nafeer-watta in Wellawatte has been isolated from today, Army Commander Lt. Gen Shavendra Silva announced.
He said the area has been isolated with immediate effect over concerns on the spread of COVID-19.
Nafeer-watta is the latest place in Wellawatte to be placed under isolation, after Mayura Place and Kokila road were isolated last week.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry said 701 more Covid patients recovered today and were discharged from hospital.
The Ministry said this takes the total number of recoveries in Sri Lanka to 26,353. (NewsWire)
