A doctor serving in Anamaduwa has died due to COVID-19, becoming the latest healthcare worker to succumb to the virus in Sri Lanka.
The deceased has been identified as doctor Wasantha Jayasuriya.
The doctor who was a resident of Gampaha was 56 at the time of his demise.
He was well known and loved by both patients and staff for his kind gestures and interactions. (NewsWire)
