There is a possibility to develop a low-pressure area in the south-east of Bay of Bengal (BOB) during next 24 hours. It is likely to intensify further and expected to move towards North coast of Sri Lanka.
Irrigation Department has also issued a Pre-Flood Warning for the residents living close to several river basins in the country.
