A significant decrease in Covid cases has been observed in the Gampaha District, the health authorities said.
The district which was reporting a high number of cases up until yesterday has reported only 35 infected people in the 24-hour period ending at 06 am today.
However, the Colombo District is continuing to report a high number of infections with 310 Covid cases during this period.
The highest number of Covid cases for the day was reported from the Kalutara District with 468 infections.
Meanwhile, 97 people who had returned from overseas had also tested positive for COVID-19 during this period. (NewsWire)
