A total of 511 people have been detected with COVID-19 in the Colombo District in the 24-hour period ending at 06 am today.
Health authorities said 402 people were detected with the virus in the Gampaha District, while 363 people were infected in the Kalutara District during this period.
The Galle, Hambantota, Monaragala, and Matale Districts have reported over 100 infections each.
The health authorities further said 18 people who had arrived from overseas had also tested positive for COVID-19.
