Army to arrange facilities for Ramadan fasting at Quarantine Centers, Health Ministry issues Ramadan recommendations

Sri Lanka Army will arrange all facilities to the Muslims in Quarantine centers to conduct their Ramadan Fasting which begins on Saturday in Sri Lanka.

Colombo Grand Mosque announced yesterday  that Ramadan will begin from Saturday April 25 since the crescent for the commencement of fasting was not sighted on Thursday.

Senior Army official told NewsWire that all arrangements will be done for those people who were fasting.

Meanwhile The Wakf Board, the State body that administers mosques in the country has issued several special directives for the mosques to be followed during the month of Ramadan.

Mosques are ordered not to hold any public gathering.

Sri Lankan Health Ministry has also issued the following recommendations to Muslims to follow during Ramadan.
